Betadine^® products should not be used in patients sensitive to iodine or other product ingredients. Betadine^® products should not be used in the eyes, over large areas of the body, or longer than one week unless directed by a doctor. Betadine^® products are for external use only.

Betasept^® should not be used in patients who are allergic to chlorhexidine gluconate or any other ingredients of the product. Betasept^® should not come in contact with meninges, be used in the genital area, or as a preoperative skin prepration of the head or face. Betasept^® is for external use only.
